How did our moving company start?
We’re not a national chain—and we’re proud of that.
Owners Brendan and Josh met in Asheville in 2014. Josh had just finished his masters in at Yale, and Brendan had just left Tulane. Neither planed on being movers but saw alot of potential for change upon working for another moving company. So in 2015, they decided to come together and create Asheville Area Movers.
Asheville Area Movers is a locally owned, independent moving company built on community, connection, and a lot of hard work. We’ve been helping people move throughout Asheville and Western North Carolina since 2017, and we’ve earned our reputation one truckload at a time.
Our goal is simple: make your move easy, efficient, and low-stress. That means showing up on time, treating your belongings like our own, and providing upfront pricing with no hidden fees.
